Represent DevConnect at your college
A part-time, remote role for students who want to build a community around what they already do. You get experience in outreach, community building and how an early product actually grows, and you get it by doing it rather than by reading about it.
This role is unpaid. It is experience and a reference, not a salary, and it is not an employment relationship. If that is not what you are looking for, the Verified Internship may be: it is a free track with a certificate that anyone can check.
What you would do
Bring your people in
Introduce DevConnect to the students around you who already build things, and help them find each other here rather than in a group chat that scrolls away.
Say what is happening
Share what gets built on the platform where students at your college already are. What that looks like is your call; you know your campus and we do not.
Tell us what is wrong
You will see where people get stuck before we do. That feedback reaches the person who builds the product, without going through a support queue first.
The practical side
Time
There is no quota and no weekly report. A couple of hours in a good week and none in an exam week is fine. What matters is that things actually happen, not how long they took.
Term
It runs while you are studying and you can stop whenever you want, by writing one line to us. There is no notice period and no penalty.
What you get
A written reference from us on request, describing what you actually did. A direct line to the people building the product rather than a support queue. And early access to what is being built, including the Verified Internship before it opens.
What you do not get
Money. This is unpaid, and if that is the deciding factor then this is not the right thing for you.
Who it suits
- Students who already build things and know a few others who do.
- People who would rather organise something small that works than announce something large that does not.
- Anyone who wants to find out whether community building is for them before putting it on a CV.
