RunsOn Mac — Weekly Changelog

August 31 – September 6, 2026 - New Game Card Layout — Game cards were visually reworked with a cleaner structure, improved spacing, clearer information hierarchy, and a more consistent presentation. - Category-Based Game Sorting — Games are now organized and sorted by category, making the growing catalogue easier to browse. - Game Catalogue Reorganization — The overall arrangement and presentation of games was revised for a cleaner and more structured browsing experience. - Steam-Powered Game Cards — Steam integration was improved to provide more consistent artwork, pricing, and game metadata directly within the catalogue. - Improved Steam Sync — The Steam data pipeline was significantly reworked toward continuous cloud synchronization instead of previous local-only processes. - Cloud & Data Sync Improvements — General synchronization between the website, backend, Steam data, and existing data sources was improved for more reliable and up-to-date information. - New Native Benchmark System — RunsOnMac now has its own detailed benchmark system for submitting real Mac gaming results directly through the website. - Benchmark Filter System - A strict filter system to avoid spam or incorrect informations - Simplified Benchmark Reports — The submission process was streamlined by focusing on important performance data while making secondary hardware and testing information optional. - Benchmark Cloud Integration — Reports are now validated through the backend, support multiple games per submission, include duplicate protection, and are stored as pending results for review. - New Benchmark Page — A dedicated Benchmark section was added and the Submit a Test button now connects directly to the internal benchmark system. - New About Page — A new About page explains RunsOnMac, the community-driven database, the testing process, and how benchmark results are validated. - Cleaner Main Navigation — The header was simplified to Games · Benchmark · About, removing unnecessary navigation items and improving the overall structure. - General Visual Polish — Multiple smaller visual improvements were made across the website, including spacing, typography, alignment, navigation proportions, and catalogue presentation. - Cleaner Catalogue UI — Unnecessary interface elements such as “Active: Recently reviewed” were removed to reduce visual clutter. - Maintenance Screen Removed — The previous development/maintenance overlay was removed, making the website directly accessible. - Production & Routing Improvements — Benchmark and About are now integrated into the production build, alongside fixes for Lovable routing and internal navigation. - Responsive & Reliability Improvements — Game cards, navigation, benchmark forms, and new pages were refined and tested across mobile, tablet, and desktop layouts. Cupcake 1.5.x — Major Weekly Update This week focused on rebuilding the game catalogue experience, improving Steam and cloud synchronization, launching the native RunsOnMac benchmark infrastructure, and giving the website a cleaner and more consistent overall design.
