The Verified Frontend Internship is officially open
It’s free, fully remote, and you’re assessed based on the work you actually produce. The program includes: • 18 lessons covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, accessibility & deployment • A 30-question assessment • Two practical frontend tasks • A final project that you deploy and document • A community contribution and written record of your work There are 7 mandatory milestones, with a minimum runtime of 3 days, so this is about actually learning and building, not rushing through a checklist. Once completed, you’ll receive a certificate with a public verification page that employers can check without an account. You can find all requirements and milestones here: https://devconnectplatform.com/program Backend, Mobile, MCP & Agent Tooling, and Programming in the Time of AI are coming next. You can already pre-register for them :)
Completed DevConnect Task 1 – Accessible Conference Schedule
Completed my first practical task in the DevConnect Frontend Program . I built a responsive and keyboard-accessible Conference Schedule using React and Vite. The schedule includes two conference days and three tracks: Frontend, Backend, and AI & ML. I focused mainly on accessibility, including keyboard navigation, visible focus states, accessible session dialogs, Escape key support, and responsive behavior without horizontal scrolling at 320px. Completed DevConnect Task 2 – Personal Reading List
Just completed my second practical task in the DevConnect Frontend Program. I built a Personal Reading List using React and Vite. The app uses the Open Library API to search real books and localStorage to keep saved books after refresh. I also added the required Loading, Error, and Empty states, with reviewer controls so each state can be tested directly from the UI. Shipped: Lumora eBook Store
I built Lumora Books , a modern responsive bookstore experience focused on making book discovery feel calm, curated, and enjoyable rather than overwhelming. ✦ What I built The goal was to create a polished bookstore interface with a strong editorial feel while keeping the experience simple to explore. Key sections include: - 🏠 Hero & discovery experience — a focused landing section introducing the collection - 📚 Book categories — Fiction, Business, Mind & Wellness, Art & Design, and more - ⭐ Bestsellers — curated popular titles with pricing and editorial labels - 🆕 New Arrivals — a dedicated section for recently added books - 📰 Lumora Journal — essays, recommendations, and editorial content - 📩 Newsletter subscription — a simple way for readers to stay updated - 📱 Responsive design — built to adapt across desktop and smaller screens - ✨ Modern visual system — typography, spacing, cards, transitions, and visual hierarchy designed around a premium bookstore aesthetic 🎯 Design goal I wanted Lumora to feel less like a traditional e-commerce page and more like a digital reading space — clean, editorial, and focused on the experience of discovering your next book. The interface combines strong typography, generous spacing, subtle visual details, and clear content sections to make browsing feel effortless. 🔍 What you can explore The live site includes: - Bestseller collection - Book categories - New arrivals - Editorial recommendations - Journal section - Newsletter signup - Shipping, returns, and customer-care sections 🚀 Live Preview https://lumora-books.netlify.app/ Would love to know — what would you add to make the book-discovery experience even better? 📖 webdevelopment frontend html css javascript uiux webdesign books showcase
